Mission Statement For HAWT
The Hindu Association of West Texas (HAWT) serves the community in the western part of Texas, its mission is:
- To provide a temple for daily pujas, annual festivals and individual samskaras.
- To conduct ceremonies in the homes of devotees.
- To promote social and cultural wellbeing of the community.
- To educate children, youth and adults in Hinduism through classes and discourses.
- To foster understanding of Hinduism at interfaith events and other appropriate venues.
- To provide services for basic human needs to the general west Texas community.
PUJA SERVICES
HAWT offers daily and annual puja services at the temple by our priest.
We also provide puja services at home upon request.
CULTURAL & EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES
HAWT cultural chair organizes various programs during festivals and our annual events.
We also provide educational services like Balvikas, yoga classes and lectures.
COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES
HAWT identify the community’s most critical needs and collaborate to improve lives and community. We provide health checkup camps and contribute donations for other charity organizations.
